A Mother's Day for the Birds

Hello sweet friends !

Mother's Day is approaching quite fast this year.  I created my table for the "Birds" cause it is.. full of birds !

I worked around my cute bird plates, paired with my green china, Mr. Living gifted me three years ago for Mother's Day; which worked out perfect !

For the chargers I did my pewter ones. Water glasses alternating pink and purple for color.

Wishing you dear ones and your families, daughters, friends, sisters, mothers and even grandmothers a wonderful MOTHER'S DAY 2018.

As many of you who follow me, I still have my 88 year old mother who is doing well in every way. God bless her.

Blessings to each one of you and all the Mothers out there.

My beautiful mother at 20 years old when she was going to marry my father.
Now she's 88 and going for more as she is doing well and has pretty good health, mentally and physically.

God bless you dear mama... I love you !

The table is set for six and I used my cute bird salad plates, paired with my green china dinner plates and my very first pewter chargers, I got as a gift from Mr. Living so many years ago.

I gathered all my beautiful plant-pot flowers together on a dark metal tray as the centerpiece for this setting, which I borrowed from my kitchen window sill, as Spring is in full bloom !

The bird motif is all around this table.

The pretty chintz tablecloth is recycled from my girls single rooms draperies.
I made it after I changed the window treatment to the Hunter Douglas shades.

Acute yellow and birdie teacup too.

The stems are a mix of purple and pink water glasses and Bohemian-Czech-Republic crystal stems.

The beautiful soup tureen (I love her!) with the bird and flowers on the lid was made back at hubby's Ceramic Co. when he had imported Porcelain from France.
The cute bird teacup was a gift from DD Alex some years ago and they are two.
Dahlia Co. if you would like to order.
They also have a teaset to go with the teacups, which I don't have.

The different little bread plates were from our past factory too.

 Bird salt & pepper shakers.

I used my bird ceramic napkin holders from our factory.

Again, may each one of you ladies, daughters and mothers and grandmothers may you be always blessed and have a wonderful Mother's Day 2018.

Thank you so much dear friends for your sweet and kind comments, you always make my day !

Thanking the lovely hostesses for having me at their great parties !

LOVE,
FABBY

  13. Dearest Fabby,
Your gorgeous soup tureen could easily be added to the Campbell Soup museum (full of tureens!) and when I visited there in 1983 on my 1st trip to the USA, they gifted me their special edition book.
And here I am, years later, admiring your museum reveal of fine china; bit by bit, occasion by occasion!
Lovely photo of your young Mother, so glad she's still doing well.
Sending you hugs and enjoy the Mother's Day weekend!

  19. Fabby, you might want to be careful about publishing "Anonymous' comments. Often they are just a business trying to use your site to sell their products in an underhanded manner. Cherry Kay
